Your marketing is what’s meant to drive leads to your door, but that doesn’t mean every aspect of your marketing needs to include a pitch or sale of some sort. Sometimes— humanizing yourself or your brand is EXACTLY what your campaigns need.
Not all of your content needs to relate back to a service you offer or reference a product you sell. Creating videos or other content that show a more human side to yourself or your brand can help your audience connect with what it is you offer.
Consumers are smarter than ever, and they can spot a veiled sales pitch a mile away. Providing them with the relief of something that’s just meant to entertain, inform or evoke an emotion can mean major points for your business or brand.
How can you accomplish this? Shoot a video that shows a bit more about you; what obstacles you’ve overcome, a look into your life outside work or another passion you have besides your business.
I’m providing you with an example of what I mean in this week’s Think Tank with a video I shot during a trip taken with my wife, Christy, this passed winter in… ICELAND!
